| Description | I'm trying to use darkradiant as a base for our own map editor (currently uforadiant is based on gtkradiant 1.5) you did a really great job to clean the codebase up - what i'm trying to do now, is to get a map plugin back into darkradiant that is able to read q2 map files. but the brushtoken importer and exporter are in the core and are d3 specific. i know that this isn't a priority for you, but imo it's a small design issue to have a map plugin, but still be bound to the format that core is dictating. | |||||

I guess this should be feasible for the future DarkRadiant 1.2.x release. |

Fixed. The new GlobalMapFormatManager allows to register various types of primitive parsers (with the mapdoom3 plugin implementing brushDef3, patchDef2 and patchDef3 parsers). A parser able to read the old brushDef format is to be written as next step (see 0001481), but I guess this gives you some freedom to implement your own module for Q2 maps? |
